You may have already made your first skin care product either with our basic Skincare Course or a recipe found on the internet but do you know what it feels like to formulate your very own unique to you recipe. Becoming a formulator of your own products will give you the confidence to create a whole new world using natural ingredients. Just imagine surrounding yourself with magical botanicals, therapeutic oils and skin loving butters to create your very own skincare line unlike anything else already in the commercial world of skincare products. With this course you can become a formulator using your very own chosen ingredients rather than following someone elses recipes. You'll learn how to understand what each ingredients brings to your product and why it's the must have ingredient for your product. Learn how to create anhydrous products, focusing on oils and butters, serums and skin care products which do not contain water. Using water in your formulations takes skincare to another level when we learn how to use preservatives, emulsifiers and thickeners. You may have already taken part in our Soap Making for Beginners or watched YouTube videos on soap making but are you confident in designing a soap for particular skin types or conditions. Perhaps you have a skin problem that you think you might like to formulate a cold press soap recipe for. Learn how different oils/butters can help skin or therapeutic essential oils can hugely benefit, choosing which superfat to use or which additive might be useful. Whatever your needs in formulating your own recipe(s) I can help you with this One to One workshop. I will guide you through all the different stages and help you to achieve your own special recipe. This workshop will be tailored to each individual needs. I suggest you bring a pen and notebook with you so you can make as many notes as you want and also to write out your finished recipe. Please bring your own packed lunch - I will proivide tea/coffee and biscuits.
