Service Description

Learn how to make your very own cold pressed soap using natural ingredients and essential oils. Handmade soap is so different to commercially made soap as it contains natural oils and butters which nourishes and protects your skin. The addition of therapeutic essential oils ensures that your soap is mild and gentle and will not dry your skin out or make it feel tight. Your soap will stay in the mould overnight and then will be sent to you by courier approximately 2 weeks later. You will be able to cut your soap yourself using a sharp knife or soap cutter. We will cover the following : Brief history and chemistry of soap making Safety aspect of soap making, especially using sodium hydroxide Using natural oils and butters for different skins Using and blending essential oils Lining a soap mould - mould ideas Mixing, curing, cutting and storing soap Packaging ideas Brief talk on legalities if you wish to sell your soap Soap making booklet Please bring a packed lunch with you, I will provide tea/coffee ad biscuits throughout the day.
